Sleuth: What are the band's origins?

Sherrie: John's from near Swansea, Max is from Monmouth, Duke's from Birmingham, and I'm from Malvern, which is full of eccentrics.
Duke: I come from a long line of long lines.
John: Lloyd George knew my father.
Max: My father was a magic mushroom somewhere in the Forest of Dean.

Sleuth: So why did Candy Channel come into existence?

Duke: A couple of years back me and Sherrie were racked off with programmed and sampled music without any real playing or anything resembling a performance. So we wrote some songs you could strum on a guitar and invited the best players we could find to join us.
John: They hijacked my studio for the recordings and forced me to play guitar as well.
Sherrie: We paid John in cheesy cobs and cups of tea.
Max: Did someone mention tea?

Sleuth: How would you describe your music?

Duke: Refreshing.
Max: Dark.
Sherrie: Potent.
John: Heady. Hey! A bit like this pint.

Sleuth: What other interests do you have outside music?

Max

Sleuth: What do you eat for breakfast?

Sherrie: Lunch.
John: Cwmbran.
Duke: Journalists.
Max: Whatever whoever she is brings me.

Sleuth: What are your favourite TV programmes?

John: Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Duke: Have I Got News For You.
Max: Jerry Springer.
