Naked is a new invention
Only touching on my intention
Needing becomes obsession
And I'm aching for free expression
Show me
What to do, what to say, what to be
Don't know how to begin, but when it ends

I want to feel you deep in me

Taste me and let it linger
Ooh I'm burning to let you in, yeah
Loving has its own dimension
And in giving you get possession
Baby
Every strength, every length is allowed
Make it slow, make it mine and make it now

I want to feel you deep in me

I'll be everything, everything that you need
I'll go to the edge of heaven with you
Take me baby please, oh please

Every look, every touch, every sigh
Everything you can be
So deep in me
Every breath is an urgent desire
Let me hold you inside and make you mine

I want to feel you deep in me
Deep in me

The Embrace

Sherrie: This time I wanted to write the ultimate slow sexy late night song. It was another Saturday morning composition when Duke was still asleep, and I had Alf the cat for company. I remember putting a rough version with a cod lyric down onto a cassette and playing it non-stop in my car on my way to my tedious day-job that following Monday. I felt really good all day because of the effect the music itself had on me - feelings of warmth and tenderness and new love - and passion. I'm especially proud of the way I sang this one - just the right amount of vulnerability. Duke's lyrics are so subversively sexual - sheer brilliance. The best part of recording this song was when John was laying down some guitar feedback throughout the track. It has to be the wildest, sexiest, rampant sound on the planet - yet when controlled by a master such as John it's dead erotic - I wish the whole planet could have experienced it!

Duke: You can see from Sherrie's description the exact brief that I was given for the words to this song. It was particularly challenging to convey passion in an open way without becoming coarse as the song would have lost its whole sensitivity if it had not remained tender and loving throughout. At many points in the lyric there are lines which have more than one interpretation, allowing you to think of it as simultaneously lustful and romantic. I had to try very hard to write from a woman's point of view. I was really happy to be let loose on fretless bass on this one and even happier to have the chance to sing all the backing vocals myself. For me it's the most complete production on the album.
