Good good good
I'll be so good for you
good good good so good

I got a radar that tells me where you are
And all that you need
Why do you wait
You can never escape your destiny
What is the sense sitting there on a fence
Better jump for your life
I got the data and sooner or later
It ends up right
And you need me
Like spacemen need escape velocity
Essentially

Chorus: Good good good
I'll be so good for you
Good good good all day and all night too
Good good good you try what I can do
Good good good so good for you

Now you better listen
'Cos some things are written
Forever and true
I got a mission
My only ambition is I want you
Now can't you see
That I was sent hell-bent to set you free
Especially

Repeat chorus

I'll be so good
So good for you
Your number came up on the lottery
Why don't you try me

And you need me
Like raindrops need a sense of gravity
Dynamically

Repeat chorus

John, lead guitarist

Sherrie: I wasn't done with the wacky chords I'd used in Room With A View so I used them again in  Good For You. This is my shot at the 'Song with Most Catchy Chorus Ever' and was inspired by two of the most incredibly brilliant catchy 60s pop song writers, The Beatles and The Beach Boys. I'm proud that each chorus ends with a different chord which allows me to head off in another direction musically for the next section. Took John & Duke ages to get to grips with, though!

Duke: In keeping with the style of the 60s I've kept the lyrics innocent and about love. Love songs are a particular challenge to me because it's so difficult to avoid being trite, contrived and dropping into all the usual ruts and clichés. Most love song lyrics are pants. This song contains Sherrie's favourite line of the album, "You need me like spacemen need escape velocity - essentially". I've tried to use a fresh approach. It was Sherrie's idea to bring the lottery into it - and she's absolutely right, love is a lottery.....
